Jaleo Feeds Local Community and Orlando Nurses During COVID-19 Shutdown
Here’s a feel-good story for your Sunday morning, Jaleo the much-loved Disney Springs eatery known for its awesome Spanish tapas is giving back to the community.
The restaurant recently took to Twitter to share photos of Jaleo’s Orlando employees prepping meals-to-go for local residents in need as well as healthcare workers.
The restaurant collaborated with Reyes Mezcaleria and Good Salt to prepare and deliver 500 FREE meals to neighbors in the Downtown Orlando area as well as 120 meals to Orlando nurses.
Chef Jose Andres of Jaleo has long had a reputation in the culinary community for his charitable work. At the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, we shared the news that he had set up a special gift card fund.
Under the scheme, gift card purchases go directly to paying the salaries of employees impact by the shutdown of Disney Springs. You can find out more about that story here.
