New Disney CEO, Bob Chapek’s, California Home is For Sale
Newly crowned Disney CEO Bob Chapek is selling his house. The Camarillo, California home is on the market for $3.49 million dollars.
The home has been for sale for a little over a year. It is located almost 40 miles west of Disney’s Burbank Studios. The New York Times describes the location as “the outskirts of Los Angeles, far from the fashionable Brentwood and Pacific Palisades neighborhoods, where most power players reside”.
According to an article from dailypress.com, Chopek himself is not a “red carpet presence” and even though he is at the top of Disney Studios he has traditionally been a quiet presence. He is the seventh in a string of Disney CEO’s since the company’s beginning.
The home is just one of “only 25 custom and equestrian estates in the 387-acre community,” notes listing agent Erin Pohl. She and Bob Pearson, both with Coldwell Banker Realty-Westlake Village Regional, hold the listing.(dailypress) All homes in the area are zoned equestrian, there are many relaxing trails on the property and a view of the Reagan library.
The 6,088 square foot home has six bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms and over 20 acres of land. It was built in 1999 and also has a pantry, granite countertops, outdoor lounge, greenhouse, fruit trees and a viewing deck. And don’t forget the infinity edge pool, slide and spa.
Chopek and his wife also own a home in Oxnard, California. He joined Disney in 1993.
