Haunted Mansion at Disneyland to Close For Refurbishment in January 2020
According to a recent piece in the Orange County Register, the beloved Haunted Mansion attraction in New Orleans Square will be closing for 2+ months starting in January 2020 for refurbishments. This is slated to happen as soon as “The Nightmare Before Christmas”-themed overlay concludes its holiday run.
Disneyland officials have said that the attraction is slated to return in the Spring after the interiors and exteriors are refreshed and some of the mechanics are refurbished.
As of going to print, the start date for the refurbishment is January 21st. The Haunted Mansion will be the third attraction to receive a makeover in 2020. As we reported last month at MickeyBlog, Snow Whites Scary Adventure will also be updated as will Indiana Jone’s Adventure which reportedly will get a $300,000 overhaul!
If you want to experience Haunted Mansion before the closure then you have until January 20, 2020. The attraction is currently celebrating the 19th year of its Haunted Mansion Holiday seasonal celebration!
