However, I must say that “Fate” — the latest TV spot for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker — is the darkest, or least hopeful, of the footage we’ve seen.
“Confronting fear, it’s the destiny of a Jedi.. your destiny,” says the voice of Luke Skywalker.
“If this mission fails, it was all for nothing,” says C-3PO.
“We’re not alone; good people will fight if we lead them,” said a brokenhearted-sounding Poe Dameron.
Meanwhile, one of the best looks at the collected Knights of Ren looms heavily over the spot.
