Florida GOP Pulls Statesman’s Dinner Out of Disney World Moves to Miami
For the time being the only President Trump you’ll find at Disney will be at the Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom. Earlier this Fall we shared the news that the Florida GOP was planning their annual Statesman Dinner to take place at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa on December 7th. However, we’ve just received word that the decision was made to relocate the annual meeting to Miami instead.
According to a recent report on Spectrum News, the Republican Party of Florida’s biggest annual fundraiser for which the President was scheduled to provide a keynote address will still take place on December 7th. However, the dinner will be relocated to an undisclosed location in South Florida.
The Statesman’s Dinner is a massive fundraiser for the party having raised nearly half a million dollars in 2018. It will also mark the President’s second appearance in South Florida this month. He is holding a rally on November 26th at the BB&T Center in Sunrise according to his campaign.
Regardless of political affiliation, this is good news for visitors to Walt Disney World that week, eliminating the worry over what sort of disruptions that event would have on operations and security at Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts.
