Top Tips for Visiting the Disneyland Resort this Holiday Season
The holiday season is in full swing at the Disneyland Resort from now until January 6, 2020! If you have plans to visit or thinking about a visit during this time, here are some tips and tricks to making your vacation the most magical ever.
Tip #1: See ‘A Christmas Fantasy’ Parade on Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland
If you are looking to get into the holiday spirit, gather your friends and family and a hot cocoa. Then, find the perfect spot on Main Street U.S.A to see “A Christmas Fantasy Parade.” You will immediately feel the warmth and magic of the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort.
Tip #2: Enjoy a Special Holiday Dining Experience or Tour
Dining and the holidays just go hand and hand. And, if you plan on visiting Disneyland during the holiday season, you will have countless opportunities to taste some of the best holiday-themed food, treats, and drinks – especially with the Sip and Savor Pass!
The Sip and Savor Pass allows Guests to taste their way around the Disney Festival of the Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park. This Pass allows you to sample a variety of multicultural holiday dishes and be introduced to new favorites.
If you are looking for a tour offered at Disneyland during the holiday season, make sure to make reservations for the “Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort” Guided Tour. This tour offers Guests reserved seating for the “A Christmas Parade” as well as the opportunity to hear Disney-themed holiday stories and maybe even learn a little more about what it takes to bring the holidays to life at the Disneyland Resort!
Tip #3: Holiday Attraction Overlays
One of the best things about the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort is the attraction overlays. Offered only during the holidays, Guests can enjoy Haunted Mansion Holiday, Mater’s Jingle Jamboree, Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl, and my favorite, “it’s a small world” Holiday.
During the holiday season at Disneyland Park, “it’s a small world” transforms to “it’s a small world” Holiday and features festive, whimsical decorations with regional holiday accents, all set to your holiday tunes.
Pro Tip: Visit after sunset, and you will be treated to a special lighting of the attraction every 30 minutes.
Tip #4: Photos!
Bring your camera, or better yet, purchase a MaxPass that includes your PhotoPass photos and say cheese as the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort offers countless of holiday-themed photo ops including some with the “Big Guy” himself!
Pro Tip: Make sure to have the Disneyland app on your smart phone so you can track the where Santa and his reindeer might be. One of the best places to get a photo with the “Man of the Season” is at Santa’s Holiday Visit at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure Park.
