DVC Raising Their Minimum Point Requirement to 100 Points
Starting on September 17th, 2019, new Disney Vacation Club Members must now purchase a minimum of 100 points direct from Disney Vacation Club to take advantage of Membership Extras. Back in 2016, DVC only required a 25 point minimum for Membership Extras. Then it was raised to 75 points in 2018.
DVC has begun updating portions of the member website to reflect the new policy. The updated language states, in part:
To receive any Membership Extras, purchasers must present a valid Disney Vacation Club Membership Card along with a corresponding valid photo ID. Effective September 17, 2019 to obtain a Disney Vacation Club Membership Card, Members must accumulate a total of at least 100 Vacation Points purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc.
Among the Membership Extras covered by this expanded restriction are Annual Pass discounts, Moonlight Magic evenings at the Disney theme parks, access to the DVC member lounge at Epcot, dining discounts, shopping discounts and more.
