GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill Now Open For Business at Disneyland’s Grand Californian
Last week, we here at MickeyBlog shared with you a sneak peek at the new poolside dining and drinks offering at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Today we are pleased to let you know that the GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill has officially opened its doors!
If you’ve stayed at or visited the Grand Californian before then you know that the resort was inspired by California’s Arts and Crafts Movement specifically places like the Gamble House in Pasadena. Visitors to the new GCH Craftsman Bar will see consistency between the Bar and the main hotel as the eatery embraces many of the unique details and materials that are seen in the main hotel.
The signature clinker brick, stone columns and shady trellis set the shade for the perfect al fresco dining experience including plush patio seating. The structure of GCH was inspired by the Gamble House’s garage and bookstore with exposed rafters, shingled walls and wooden accents.
The Arts & Crafts touches continue to the pool gate made by the same artisan who created the Sun Gate, Moon Gate and Arbor Gate when the hotel first opened. Above you’ll see whimsical imagery from the Meadow Gate featuring a variety of creatures celebrating nature in California. These include a butterfly, honey bee, grasshopper, ladybugs and even a quail.
But enough about the decor let’s talk food! The menu is brimming high with shareable dishes such as the Double-Baked Beef Nachos, Main Lobster Quesadilla, the Black Truffle- Charred Cauliflower Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Artisanal Pizzas and even Shawarma Chicken Skewers. For little ones there are six different kid’s menu options that are sure to please. You’ll also want to save room for dessert so that you can indulge in tasty treats like the Root Beer Float, Waffle Churro Sundae and Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie Fingers.
The bar will also be serving up delicious signature cocktails along with California wines and local craft beers. Highlights include the Craftsman Garden Cocktail, the Pricky Pear Rose, Pineapple Ginger Margarita and the Kombucha Cocktail.
Nearby White Water Snacks has been given a masterful makeover and is now called GCH Craftsman Grill. However, it is still serving up the same hearty array of breakfast, lunch and dinner options that guests at the Californian have come to love. The restaurant also offers some nice grab ‘n’ go items such as drinks, snacks, sweets and salads perfect for those in a hurry!
The GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill are both located in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Be sure to check them out next time you’re visiting Disneyland Resort!
