Highlights from the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend
Just about a week ago, the final participant crossed the finish line during the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World. More than 56,000 princesses and princes participated in this year’s event that featured royal memories, fairy-tale finishes, and exciting events. Here are just a few of the highlights:
During the Disney Princess 5k, princesas and principes from across the land celebrated Elena of Avalor. After running a 3.1 miles, it was time to show off those medals and snap a photo with the woman of the day – Elena of Avalor!
Fierce warriors gathered for the Disney Princess Enchanted 10k featuring Mulan. The warriors handled the course with ease even with the extra Florida humidity.
The highlight of the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend was the Disney Princess Half Marathon, celebrating Aurora. The winner, Jackie Pirtle-Hall finished with a time of 1:18:30 and marked her first runDisney victory! In the Female Wheelchair Division, Bethany Evans turned in the fastest time of 1:25:13. Talk about a fairy tale ending!
Last, but certainly not least, we have to recognize the runners who accepted the Disney Fairy Take Challenge. These prince and princesses definitely went the extra mile and completed 19.3 miles in just two days!
Congrats to all the runners who participated in the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend!
