Shopping at Disney’s Earport at Orlando International!
The day you see Mickey’s ‘see ya real soon!’ message on the back end of the Walt Disney World Property road signs is a day we don’t like to talk about too much here at MickeyBlog. We’d much rather talk about spending time on Walt Disney World Property than leaving the magic behind, but like a wise person once said: all good things must come to an end. Fear not, there’s still time to visit Disney’s Earport!

By the time you take the 20 minute journey back to Orlando International Airport, you’ve likely already started planning your next trip to Walt Disney World visit. If you’re still thinking about the marvelous time you’ve just had on Property though, Disney’s Earport at MCO is the place to visit before you go wheels-up!
Your One-Stop Disney Shop
If you’re a frequent traveler like me, you’re used to having access to a few Disney shopping locations while you’re waiting to board at MCO. For no other reason than Sorcerer Mickey’s image out front, The Magic of Disney has always been my favorite airport store. Themed similarly to pre-remodel at World of Disney, huge character statutes and ornaments adorned the spacious shop, and from afar, it drew shoppers’ attention from everywhere in the terminal!

Since the closure of The Magic of Disney last summer, Disney’s Earport became the one and only shop to pick up official Disney Parks-branded merchandise at the airport. Admittedly, I’d always chosen The Magic of Disney over Disney’s Earport, so stepping into the shop for the first time was a brand new experience for me!

Do they sell clothes? Is there a plush section? Can you purchase official Walt Disney World snacks to enjoy on the plane ride? The answers are yes, yes, and YES!

With over-the-top décor and whimsy pouring out the doors, Disney’s Earport succeeded in putting a huge grin on my regular ‘departure day face’. Greeted by a very funny (and sticky) Goofy statute, and it’s clear before you even enter that you’ve got one more shot to steep in the Disney magic!

Disney’s Earport is basically a summation of essential merchandising you’ll find at the flagship Walt Disney World retailers on Property. With more time on my hands than I want to waste in a Theme Park, I spent more time browsing than I ever allow myself on Property!

Last minute gifts- like essentials from the newest and hottest attractions and Lands at the Resort- are not hard to come by here!

On-par with the gift shops on Property, the drink ware and clothing collections are filled with items that would fit any taste!

If you thought Disney’s Earport was an afterthought tourist trap, think again. Complete with everything that I’ve just mentioned plus the newest in 2019 merchandise and apparel, Disney’s Earport is a pleasurable, stress-free shopping experience that you shouldn’t miss next time you’re traveling through MCO!

I’m glad I finally stopped in and used my downtime wisely, because I picked up some items I never would have stopped to look at in between Fastpass and dining reservations at the Resort! Until we see Disney’s promise of a new airport store come to fruition, you can find me browsing the shelves at Disney’s Earport!
