Next year, my husband celebrates his 50th birthday and being the big kid that he is, I thought the best place to celebrate would be in Disney World!
Most of the articles you will see have to do with giving your little ones the best birthday celebration you can, but what about the grown-ups? We deserve to celebrate a birthday in Disney too!
Get a Button
Who cares? We do! That’s because the Disney “It’s My Birthday” button lets everyone know you’re there to celebrate your special day.
And why wouldn’t you want to let the world know? Or at least the cast members at Disney World who will probably greet you all day long with many, many, many “Happy Birthdays!”
Let Us Eat Cake
His Disney birthday celebration wouldn’t be complete without a birthday cake. You can choose to get a cake delivered to various Disney World restaurants to top off your delicious celebratory meal!
The cake is in the shape of Mickey Mouse and can be ordered in chocolate or white chocolate. It’s an affordable $35 per cake, plus tax and gratuities where applicable (pricing subject to change) and will added to your restaurant bill. It’s best to order the cake when you make your dining reservations.
In-room Celebrations
If you want to make your celebration a little more intimate or private, you can organize an in-room celebration. The Disney Floral & Gifts service provides a Mickey Celebration Package that includes a Mickey Mouse themed door banner and a surprise party prepared by Mickey and friends!
There are themed “Happy Birthday!” balloons, bins with accessories for the party. For example, Minnie’s bin has treats and a delicious cake! Mickey’s birthday hat is perfect for the birthday boy or girl (man or woman). This package is perfect for the little kid in all of us.
Do Something Special
My husband is a sports nut, so my birthday celebration for him will include a trip to something HE would enjoy.
It’s important to plan ahead so you can find something that makes your Disney trip special to your loved one who is celebrating a birthday.
Make a List
If the celebration isn’t a surprise, then help them to make a birthday to-do list of things they want to enjoy at Disney World. Include food and rides they want to try.
Once you have a list, then make sure you have any necessary reservations taken care of early so they aren’t disappointed.
Try a Disney Extra
Don’t just make your trip about the parks. Do something ‘extra.’ For example, if your loved one is into trains, there is a backstage tour of the Walt Disney World Railroad steam trains. Do they love scuba diving? T
ake an Epcot Diving Tour. Or kiss a dolphin at The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion. Or learn about how the wild animals are taken care of. There’s plenty to choose from.
Take Photos!
Don’t forget to click away! There are also many Disney park cast members who can take photos of your birthday adventures.

So the Nemo and friend pavilion said you can kiss a dolphin so is this something you would need reservations for. I already have everything booked but might want to do that too
