Dream Big Princess Movie Series at Disney Springs
Disney’s Dream Big Princess is here and you’ll want to learn all about it!
One of Disney’s biggest identifiers is its ability to inspire and ignite sparks of creative imagination in anyone who comes in contact with the brand. I’m a great example of someone whose life path was altered because of Disney. I was so inspired by the Parks I’ve been visiting with family since childhood that I realized awhile back that I wanted to integrate Disney into my work life as much as possible…and voila!
“Dream Big Princess” is one of Disney’s newest platforms designed to empower young girls through the strength, perseverance, and bravery showcased in the Disney Princess films.
Now though the end of October, families visiting Disney Springs have the opportunity to re-live the classic tales that inspired the campaign! With a combination of ‘older’ films and already-classics, the lineup at AMC in Disney Springs is a great excuse to dress up as your favorite Princess and hit the theater!
The Lineup:
Films are played beginning at 2:00pm, and 6:00pm
- September 14 – 20: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Live Action)
- September 21 – 27: Disney’s The Princess and the Frog
- October 5 – 11: Disney’s Moana
- October 12 – 18: Disney’s Cinderella(Live Action)
Post-Film Princess-Inspired Activities at Disney Springs
Belle has journeyed through a dark forest alone and saved her father from lifelong isolation. She fought off rabid wolves and set an example for the Beast of what it means to love. She also effortlessly sang her way through some pretty vocally challenging ballads!
Needless to say, the excitement and inspiration your little Princess is feeling will result in an all-out screaming fest if you head straight to the car. So stick around Disney Springs for awhile! Here are my favorite Princes-inspired activities you and your little one can participate in after the movie.
Amorette’s Patisserie
You won’t find desserts more perfectly prepared for Princesses than at Amorette’s. The extreme attention to detail starts with the first ingredient in the mixing bowl and contines on until the final luster dust coat has been added to the masterpiece. If you’re looking for a gorgeous to dessert fit for a princess, look no further than the artfully delicious options at Amorette’s Patisserie!
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
For Princesses under the age of 13, a pampering at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is just what the fairy godmother ordered! Not only can your little one choose which Princess’ dress she would like to wear, but she will also be treated to full hair and makeup (and glitter!) just like the princesses in the movies. If you’re in the mood for a makeover, be sure to reserve your spot before you go, we can help with that!
Sprinkles
Cupcakes and Princess movies go together like…well, cupcakes and princess movies! I hosted my little cousins’ sleepover a few years back. One insistence she had was surprisingly not ‘no bedtime.’ Instead, it was a cupcake decorating station! I of course didn’t argue- probably because my mouth was full of delicious cupcakes- and the smiles on those girls faces proved that there is definitely something about cupcakes that makes females happy.
While you can’t decorate your own at Sprinkles, you CAN try out the very cool, very modern cupcake ATM! The process is simple, but oh so satisfying. Select your cupcake of choice,and watch as it is magically dispensed right before your eyes. There’s no counter service necessary! That same cupcake-loving cousin joined me at Walt Disney World last summer. She insisted that EVERYONE in our travel party get a cupcake. Then she could play with the cupcake ATM!
The Dream Big Princess movie marathon is the first in what we’re hoping will be many activities inspired by the new campaign. The great thing about the Dream Big Princess campaign is that while “princess” is indeed in the title. And the entire movement’s goal is to inspire girls who like tutus as equally as girls who prefer basketball shorts.
