Ultimate Guide to the Best Disney Cupcake
Almost everyone loves cupcakes and, if you’re a fan too, this article is chock-filled with Disney cupcake madness. We tell you where you can find the sweet treats at both Disney World and Disneyland. Even if you don’t have a need to find Disneycupcakes, you really should indulge on your trip – isn’t that what a Disney vacation is all about?
Sprinkles Cupcakes
Let’s first take you to Walt Disney World in Orlando, where you can find the legendary Sprinkles Cupcakes at Disney Springs. Why are Sprinkles cupcakes legendary? If you’ve watched Cupcake Wars on the Food Network, one of the judges was Candace Nelson, who started Sprinkles the first ‘cupcakery’ (combo of cupcakes and bakery) in the States. It started a cupcake craze. Candace is now a judge on Netflix’s Sugar Rush and you can find her cupcakes on property. This Disney cupcake is so good.
Flavors, Flavors and More Flavors
Sprinkles has many flavors, including red velvet, black and white, chocolate marshmallow, strawberry, salty caramel, banana, coconut and more. Each is $4.95. Here’s a money saving tip if you want to try multiple cupcakes – have each person in your party pick a flavor. Then cut each Disney cupcake and sample them all. That’s what we do!
The BoardWalk Bakery
The BoardWalk Bakery is where you can find an Oreo Cupcake, Strawberry Cupcake, Specialty Cupcake and the Mickey Mouse Oreo Cupcake ($6 each).
Gasparilla Island Grill
If you’re looking for a Minnie cupcake, head over to Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney World’s Grand Floridian where you can find the cutest treat dedicated to the love of Mickey’s life. This Disney cupcake will be the love of your life because it’s will steal your heart. The pièce de résistance? The flavorful cupcake is topped with Minnie’s traditional bow. If that’s not ‘literally’ the icing on the cake, we don’t know what is.
Be Our Guest
At the Be Our Guest Restaurant (think Beauty and the Beast), located in the Magic Kingdom, you’ll find The Master’s Cupcake, which is a chocolate sponge cake topped with Lumiere’s special “Grey Stuff”. It’s a $4.99 treat and probably the only time you’ll eat something called “Grey Stuff,” but remember Lumiere himself sang, “Try the grey stuff, it’s delicious.”
Try a Disney Cupcake at the Contemporary
If you want to be surprised, Disney World’s Contemporary Resort has different cupcakes at their self-service counter. In the past, they’ve had the Watermelon Cupcake, Churro Cupcake, Cherry Cupcake, Banana Flip Cupcake, Turtle Cupcake and the Candy Apple Cupcake, among others. You can find the Disney cupcake of the day in something we all need – a cupcake fridge!
S’mores Cupcake!
For you campers, you know you can’t live without your s’mores and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge hasn’t forgotten about you. They are home to such cupcakes as the S’mores Cupcake and the Campfire Cupcake.
Jolly Holiday
Mary Poppins might have had the right idea when she said it’s a “Jolly Holiday” because – trust us — it always feels like a special occasion when you have a cupcake. At this bakery cafe – aptly named Jolly Holiday and located on Main Street USA in Disneyland – you can indulge in the ‘Iridescent Cupcake’.
This is a mouth-watering confetti and passion fruit cupcake with passion fruit and mango filling finished with a tri-colored white chocolate champagne mousse. While you wipe your chin at the thought of tasting this $7 Disney cupcake that’s worth every bite, they also have a lemon cupcake filled with raspberry mousse and lemon-honey frosting ($3.79).
This is just the start of where you can find cupcakes on Disney property. What are you waiting for?! Get tasting!
