Homer Simpson WIll Become A Disney Princess In Season 32
Yup. You read that correctly! San Diego Comic Con is in full swing and we’re hearing all sorts of interesting bits of info. Chief among them is the news that Homer Simpson is going to fully embrace Disney’s acquisition of Fox last year and become a bonafide Disney Princess!
The animated series will continue to follow one of America’s favorite families for its whopping 32nd season on FOX starting this Fall! As ScreenRant tells us, over the years (and some 684 episodes) Homer has had some pretty impressive jobs. We’ve seen him try his hand at everything from an astronaut to a door-to-door salesman. And of course he’s had the consistent job of a nuclear safety inspector.
If you’re a fan of The Simpsons then you know that the series has long poked fun at other animated shows/films including Disney. This is NOT something that ended with the acquisition. As ScreenRant tells us, the show is not afraid to poke occassional fun at its new corporate overlords.
During the beginning of the series’ panel at Comic-Con@Home, The Simpsons unveiled “Disney Princess Homer” who emerges from a pumpkin carriage that fell to Earth. The panel also reveals a sneak peek at the newest “Treehouse Of Horror,” The Simpson’s annual Halloween episode. In the clip, Homer gorges himself on candy (and turkey) to the point of illness in the control room of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.
As we’ve previously mentioned here at MickeyBlog, as part of Disney’s acquisition of Fox, the entire series of The Simpsons is available to stream on the Disney+ network. The series was originally the subject of a bit of controversy when Disney’s streaming network launched last November as the entire series was cropped to fit Disney’s widescreen format. However, Disney did relent and during COVID-19 fixed the crop so that now awesome Simpson’s detail gets cut out!
