New DVC Welcome Center Opens at Disney California Adventure
Disney Vacation Club has just found a brand new home at Disney California Adventure!
Come with us to check out the beautiful new Golden Vine House, the newly-opened Disneyland showplace for all things DVC…
Golden Vine House
How beautiful and quaint is this? It’s the newly-opened Golden Vine House, a “Welcome Home Center” for Disney Vacation Club.
It’s tucked away in that beautiful, Mediterranean garden-inspired corner of Disney California Adventure – near to where you’d find Wine Country Trattoria.
This cozy new park addition works as a vibrant showplace for all the DVC program has to offer.
Stepping through the doors, our reporters were met with the most beautiful “Welcome Home” sign, complete with that iconic, wanderlust-inspiring Mickey logo in the center.
It really does capture those welcoming, family values of the DVC perfectly!
Inside the building, both guests and existing DVC members can admire previews of club properties and offers.
We were particularly swept away looking at this dreamy miniature version of Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa!
Now, you may be wondering what was housed in this building before it became the DVC center.
Well, does the name “Blue Sky Cellar” ring any bells?
Yes, this is the site of the former Blue Sky Cellar. It was a preview center used to promote upcoming attractions and events here at Disney California Adventure.
This exhibition space would be where guests could hear more about the latest attractions and areas scheduled for the park, which included familiar favorites such as The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, Goofy’s Sky School, Buena Vista Street, and the Cars Land themed areas.
As well as this, guests could check development progress and even watch preview films in which Disney Imagineers discussed what was to come!
We’re thrilled to see that the space is still being used as a preview center. This time it’s for Disney Vacation Club!
While this center has only just opened up here at the Disneyland Resort, we expect the site to be used in a similar way to other DVC venues such as the Gateway to Discovery in Disney Springs, which opened at Walt Disney World in March this year.
As always, be sure to stay tuned to MickeyBlog for any updates!
Let’s just take one final look at this simply adorable Mickey Mouse statue. It’s found just outside the Golden Vine House.
With his suitcase packed and floral shirt donned, Mickey looks completely ready for a magical vacation! Who’s joining him?
