Ben Schwartz Stole A Star Wars Prop
Behind the scenes, actor, comedian, and writer Ben Schwartz owns a solid connection to Star Wars.
Perhaps best known for his role of Jean-Ralphio on Parks and Recreation, he played the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog. But he also enjoyed an uncredited role as a stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And, along with Bill Hader, worked as a voice consultant for BB-8 on Episode VII. He also received special thanks from the crew of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker for “punching up” C3PO’s dialogue.

However, J.J. Abrams and co might be rescinding that thanks.
What Ben Schwartz Stole from the Star Wars Set
Charlotte Krol of NME.com explained:
A vocal consultant for BB-8 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and The Rise Of Skywalker (2019), has revealed he stole a part of the Millennium Falcon and now keeps it in a jar.
Ben Schwartz, who alongside actor Bill Hader helped created the “voice” of BB-8 in the latest Star Wars trilogy, said he yanked a little too enthusiastically on a loose piece of insulation hanging from the ship’s ceiling while on set for The Rise Of Skywalker.
“So I grab it and it’s like a fricking Bugs Bunny cartoon,” Schwartz recalled of the moment over video call to Fancom.

Secondly, I mean, it’s just funny. And, frankly, who can blame him.
How Schwartz Stole A Star Wars Prop
“We’re friends,” said Schwartz of he and abrams. “[And] I got a tour [of the set]. And I didn’t take pictures because I didn’t want to get in trouble. But I was like, ‘I’m gonna find something I can keep.'”
And he did. But, like the Bugs Bunny cartoon, he described the comedy of the moment.
“There’s like a little bit of insulation,” he explained. And he pulled it, and it just kept coming. “So I took it and I wrapped it up.
“So I put the insulation in a thing that I marked.”
Finally, all of this begs the question: What ELSE has Ben Schwartz stolen from Star Wars sets?
