Script for Marvel’s She-Hulk Series Has Been Completed
Despite the closure of, well, pretty much everthing, it looks like progress IS being made when it comes to the She-Hulk series that is slated to come to Disney+. According to the screenwriter Dana Schwartz, the writer’s room has wrapped up its work and the scripts are done.
According to a piece on MovieWeb, Jessica Gao of Rick and Morty fame is the head writer. The project was originally announced back in August of 2019 as one of several Marvel shows getting the greenlight for Disney’s streaming network.
According to the tweet from another member of the team Dana Schwartz the writing is done. See below:
The She-Hulk room ended so if you happen to be a showrunner looking for a writer who makes jokes and writes books and knows a lot of historical fun facts, hit me up!!!!

However, when it comes to plot details, Marvel is being relatively tight-lipped. The project was originally announced along with Moon King and Ms. Marvel as part of an ever-expanding Marvel presence on Disney+. These titles join the ranks of other Marvel projects that are further along in development including WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki.
As MovieWeb tells us, unlike the other Marvel shows coming to Disney+, She-Hulk will be closely tied to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we do know that Kevin Feige (Head of Marvel Studios) is one of the show’s producers.
Next, it’s on to casting and though Marvel has yet to make an official announcement, there have been murmurs in Hollywood that Allison Brie will take on the role of Jessica Walters.
The series will be based on the character She-Hulk which first appeared in Marvel comics back in 1980. She was created by Stan Lee and John Buscema. In the story, Jessica Walters is an attorney who gained hulk powers after her cousin Bruce Banner had to provide her with an emergency blood transfusion.
As we previously reported here on MickeyBlog, Mark Ruffalo has confirmed that he will be returning to the rule of Bruce Banner in the series. As of going to print, Disney+has yet to confirm an official premiere date for the series. However, this is a story that we’ll be watching closely so keep following along for the latest Marvel news and updates!
