It’s Lights, cameras, action at Magic Kingdom this morning! Our MickeyBlog team is visiting the Disney theme park on a very special day.
Today marks the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary. There are so many exciting things happening, and we are bringing you a first look at all of the fun.
Our team noticed something special happening pretty early on in Magic Kingdom. Check out the filming in Town Square.
Mickey and Minnie are getting ready for their close-ups – let’s take a look at these amazing photos.
Special Filming
Early this morning, Disney fans and guests crowded around Town Square dressed in purple and silver for the Disney 100 Celebration.
You can see plenty of lights, screens, and camera equipment for the shoot.
It looks like Magic Kingdom is hosting some special guests and hosts for the event.

Here comes Minnie dressed in silver and purple. She looks great!
Just behind her is Mickey Mouse dressed in his purple and silver tuxedo.
Mickey and Minnie have arrived for the special photo shoot and are greeted by cheering fans.
They look excited for today’s celebration too!
The couple takes a minute to interact and pose with their fans.
And they smile and wave to the observing guests.
Thanks, Minnie! She even blew us a kiss as she passed by.

No other details are available at this time. We can confirm that the Magic Kingdom is hosting some type of commercial shoot or special filming for the Disney100.
UPDATE: It was later revealed that Good Morning America filmed this segment about Jollywood Nights, the new ticketed holiday event taking place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this year!
