Whip Up The Grey Stuff at Home With This Family-Friendly Disney Recipe
“Try the Grey Stuff It’s delicious. Don’t believe us? Ask the dishes.” So goes a line from Be Our Guest in Beauty and the Beast and for anyone visiting Walt Disney World, you know that the icing on the cake of a delicious meal at Be Our Guest Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom, is the chance to sample this famous dessert for yourself
It may be a while before we’re able to enjoy dinner in the restaurant’s delightfully gothic West Wing but you can whip up a bit of the magic that Lumiere raved about at home with this Grey Stuff Recipe from Disney Eats. Best of all, this treat only takes about 15 minutes to make so its the perfect activity when boredom sets in!
The “Grey Stuff” from Beauty and the Beast | Disney Eats
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups of milk
- 3.4 ounces of instant vanilla pudding mix
- 15 cookie and cream sandwiches (Like Oreos)
- Food processor
- 8 ounces of whipped topping
- 1 tablespoon of instant chocolate pudding mix
- Scalloped cookies
Step 1: Pour 1 1/2 cups of milk in a mixing bowl. Add 3.4 ounces of instant vanilla pudding mix, and whisk until smooth.
Step 2: Take 15 cookie and cream sandwiches and place them in your food processor, puree until cookies are finely ground.
Step 3: Add the pureed cookies to the original mix. Stir with a spoon until ingredients are fully mixed.
Step 4: Add 8 ounces of whipped topping and 1 tablespoon of instant chocolate pudding mix. Stir all ingredients until fully mixed.
Step 5: Take mix and put in the refrigerator. Chill to thicken.
Step 6: Place your mix (“grey stuff”) into a piping bag. Put aside.
Step 7: Take a scalloped cookie and spread grey stuff with a piping bag. (Or just pipe it straight into your mouth like we do! Shhhhh don’t tell anyone!)
