New TTC Signage is Sure to Come in Handy at Disney World!
From transportation to parking, when it comes to arrivals and departures at the parks, Disney is a well-oiled machine.
However, that doesn’t mean that the ins-and-outs of getting around the resort are going to always be easy for guests. In fact, sometimes it can be very confusing to understand just where you’re supposed to be going!
Thankfully, some new signage has arrived at the Transportation and Ticketing Center, which we hope will guide guests towards a much smoother parking experience on their next visit.
Sadly no, it’s not a giant billboard directing forgetful-Fiona to where she left her red Honda Civic. But, I’d go as far as saying this is the next best thing!
Steps or Shuttles?
Anyone who has ever parked their car at the TTC will know that the lot is expansive, and often complex.
Thankfully, Disney have kindly marked off each portion of the carpark into sections, and named each one after a different character, to add some whimsy to the experience.
What guests might not realize, however, is that these sections do have different logistics to bear in mind, as these bright new signs are here to point out to us.
As you can see from the photos taken today, the new signs list the different character sections of the car park.
These signs advise guests on whether or not the complimentary parking lot shuttle services actually travel to each area.
For instance, here in the “Heroes” division of the parking lot, guests parked in the Simba, Peter Pan, Mulan, or Rapunzel sections are advised to travel via tram to get to their car.
Meanwhile, those with cars in the Aladdin section should walk instead, as the tram won’t be making a stop there.
Over here in the “Villains” lot (boo!) we can see the same procedure in action.
This sign below shows us that the Hook, Scar, Ursula, and Cruella sections will be visited by the tram. Likewise, the Jafar and Zurg areas are only accessible on foot.
Previously, on-tram announcements and dedicated Cast Members were on-hand to provide this information. Now, the signage just adds an extra level of certainty to the operations.
Many guests automatically go to board these shuttles after a long day in the parks. We’re sure these new signs will be very welcome in avoiding confusion!
What do you think of these new signs at the TTC? Would you hope to see them in the other parking lots across the resort too?
We’ll have to keep our eyes peeled to see if they do!
