‘Under the Sea’ Updates with Room for More Guests Coming to Pirate Rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Earlier this year, Walt Disney World confirmed that the Pirate Rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort were being reimagined. Today, Disney has provided more details on these updated rooms and they are going to be awesome!
Per Disney, the updated Pirate Rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will feature “subtle nods to fan-favorite characters from under the sea and feature updated finishings that can’t be found anywhere else at the resort.”

To me, that sounds like these reimagined rooms might feature our favorite characters from The Little Mermaid. Maybe even Finding Nemo and Finding Dory too?! We will have to wait and “sea”!
In addition to the theming of the Pirate Rooms changing, Disney has also noted that the rooms will be updated to accommodate more Guests.

Currently, the Pirate Rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort sleep just four Guests. So, this update will be a game-changer for those with larger families.
The Pirate Rooms are located in the Trinidad section of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Renovations on these rooms is officially underway as of today, Monday, October 3, 2022, with hopes of welcoming Guests in 2023. During this time, other Guests on property may notice signs of construction around the Trinidad section.
