The Candy Palace Opens (1955)
On this day in 1955, the Candy Palace opened at Disneyland.
Located on Main Street USA, the shop specializes in classic sweets and hand-made tweets.
Rocket To The Moon (1955)
Also on this day in 1955, Rocket to the Moon opened in Disneyland.
Presented by TWA, the attraction took guests on a simulated ride to the moon.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Opens (1994)
On this day 1994, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror opened on Sunset Boulevard at the Disney-MGM Studios.
Based on the anthology series, the attraction took place in the fictional Hollywood Tower Hotel, where guests board a haunted freight elevator.
Elena of Avalor Premieres (2016)
On this day in 2016, Elena of Avalor premiered on the Disney Channel.
The series told the story of Elena Castillo Flores, who has saved her kingdom from an evil sorceress, but now must learn how to rule.
