Posters For Live-Action Little Mermaid Released and Ticket Sales NOW Open
With only a month until it hits theaters, the marketing from Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid is going into overdrive! Tickets are NOW ON SALE and Disney has just released several new posters for the film which stars Halle Bailey in the beloved role of Ariel.
The poster above, created for 4DX features Ariel (Bailey) rescuing Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King) from a tumultuous sea.
There’s also a new Fandango The Little Mermaid poster featuring Ariel emerging from the surface of the water as Ursula’s tentacles ominously linger underneath. For those unfamiliar, the notorious Little Mermaid baddie will be played by none other than Melissa McCarthy.
In addition to McCarthy as Ursula, you can also check out Javier Bardem as King Triton.
But that’s not all…we also have some character-specific posters that were released this morning and they’re fabulous!

Star Halle Bailey took to social media to share a first look at the Ariel version of the new The Little Mermaid posters.
Here’s McCarthy’s sinister sea witch along with Flotsam and Jetsam.
Bardem looks perfect as Ariel’s stern but loving father King Triton.
Here’s a closer look at heartthrob Prince Eric.
Some of the characters we haven’t covered yet also have their own posters including Sebastian who is voiced by Daveed Diggs.
Awkwafina will be taking on the role of Scuttle.
Rounding out The Little Mermaid posters is Flounder who will be voiced in the film by Jacob Tremblay.
The story of the film is expected to be similar to the beloved Disney animated classic. However, we do know that in addition to the music from the original film, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken have added some new original music.
You can check out the latest trailer for The Little Mermaid below.
The Little Mermaid follows the story of Ariel, a young mermaid who longs for adventure above the sea. Ariel is the youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most rebellious. While venturing beyond the sea, she rescues and falls for the dashing Prince Eric. To win over the Prince, Ariel agrees to a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula which gives her the ability to live on land but at a cost that puts Ariel and her underwater kingdom in jeopardy.
Don’t miss the film when it hits theaters on May 26, 2023. Tickets are NOW on sale!
