Shelter in Place for Walt Disney World Guests
Hurricane Ian hit land earlier today, and it’s been an intense storm for Florida residents. Of course, Walt Disney World is trying to make this the best situation for resort guests as a “Shelter in Place” takes effect at 9:00 pm on September 28, 2022.
Beach Club Care
We have direct connections to some resort guests at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Appropriately, Cast Members are handing out goody bags for guests during this terrible storm. It appears that the treats include snacks such as M&Ms, Skittles, Snickers, and more!
Coronado Springs During the Storm
In addition, over at Coronado Springs, there is a message going across the bottom of the resort channel. The message says, “Weather Advisory: At 9 p.m. tonight after you’ve eaten dinner, we strongly recommend that you shelter indoors and do not leave your building or room. You can find the latest information about temporary closures and impacts on DisneyWorld.com/Weather.”
Tara Neaderhiser is currently staying at Coronado Springs. In addition to the “Shelter in Place” message on the television, Cast Members also handed out flashlights to resort guests a couple of hours ago.
According to Tara Neaderhiser, restaurants at Coronado Springs are rotating open hours. However, they do have limited menus, but food remains at the restaurants for now! In addition, Guests have a buffet option for dinner.
Here is a quick picture of drinks available at Coronado Springs. As always, Walt Disney World Resort is trying its best to take care of its guests.
Of course, they continue to make even a scary night magical as Goofy continues to comfort guests with his smile and wonderful spirit.
Not to mention that after guests enjoy their dinner or snacks, they still can settle down to watch a movie. Right now Wreck-It Ralph helps them get their mind off all the chaos.
