Party for the Planet Is Coming To Animal Kingdom April 20-22nd
This year Animal Kingdom’s awesome Earth Day Celebration will be making a return from April 2o -22. During this special three-day event guests can explore, engage and connect with nature in new ways through family-friendly experiences and special offerings!
Party for the Planet kicks off the moment you enter the park with the larger-than-life marine debris sculpture greeting you when you walk in. This meaningful work of art celebrates the release of DisneyNature Penguins which will debut in cinemas across the country on April 17th.
The fun continues throughout the park with unique character appearances, special entertainment and unique photo ops with Disney’s PhotoPass photographers!
Throughout this special weekend event, guests will have the opportunity to meet some of Animal Kingdom’s amazing animal and conservation experts as well as animal educators. You’ll gain first-hand knowledge into how Disney cares for animals and works to save endangered species worldwide. You’ll also be able to watch animal feedings and training experiences!
For those looking for a special VIP experience look no further than Tiffin Talks. This special dining experience will be offered from 1-3pm each day of Party for the Planet. The guest of honor for this awesome event is the creative force behind the concept, design and buildout of Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Walt Disney Imagineer and Portfolio Executive Joe Rohde. You’ll dine on a four-course meal as Joe regales you with stories of his travels. The menu will feature global dishes, desserts and speciality beverages. Space is limited and will fill up quickly. This event will set you back $199 per person plus tax and gratuity and reservations can be made at 407.WDW.DINE. Valid theme park admission is required to enter the park.
Can’t make it lunch? Guests are also invited to meet Joe Rohde at Mombasa Marketplace from 10:00 am – 11:30 on April 20 and 22nd where he will be on hand to sign his own unique artwork (the commemorative lion print you see above.) The print will be on sale throughout party weekend while supplies last! A wrist band is required to meet Joe Rohde.
More details about this event can be found at the Party for the Planet webpage.
On Earth Day itself (April 22nd) Animal Kingdom will also be unveiling a full assortment of “The Lion King” merchandise which you’ll find at Mombasa Marketplace. Be on the lookout for everything from the Hakuna Matata Spirit Jersey to the adorable Simba hat below.
There are so many incredible ways to celebrate nature at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We hope to see you there this Earth Day!
