Black Panther 2 Halts Production Due To Letitia Wright Injury
According to a piece posted this afternoon on Deadline, Disney has officially confirmed that they’ve had to halt filming for the much-anticipated sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This was due to setbacks as star Letitia Wright injured herself in August on a stunt rig.
This calls in to question Black Panther 2’s November 11, 2022 release date. Disney has already pushed the film ahead on the calendar as it was originally supposed to be next July. Eventually it was replaced on the schedule by Thor: Love and Thunder.
The production had been shooting in Atlanta. According to the piece in DEADLINE director Ryan Coogler has shot all that is required outside of Wright’s sequences. The word is that the production will shut down on Thanksgiving and will resume early next year.
