The Reopening Date For Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Has Been Announced and It’s Earlier Than Expected!
If you plan on visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios this July, I have great news!
Disney has announced that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will reopen nearly four weeks earlier than had originally been expected.
Here is what we know!
The Attraction Closed in January
For those who don’t know, the fan-favorite attraction initially closed on January 8 for an extended refurbishment.
While Disney initially stated that the attraction was closed for “routine refurbishment” and would “reopen in summer 2024,” they did not give an exact date for when the attraction would return.

However, last month, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster operating hours were updated on the attraction’s website, and it appeared that the Hollywood Studios classic would reopen on July 27.
Disney Confirms Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Will Open Next Week!
That brings us to today. Once again, the attraction’s operating hours have been updated! Disney has now confirmed that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will reopen on Monday, July 1.

What the refurbishment entailed remains unclear. Disney has previously called the refurb “routine,” meaning that it is unlikely that we will see any significant changes.
More than likely, Disney has simply spruced everything up and performed routine maintenance.
