As we prepare for the ride’s big opening, Disney has shared 7 different things we need to know before June 28th arrives. Let’s get into it!
Virtual Queue
We’ve already shared that Disney will be utilizing a virtual queue for the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
Guests will be able to request to join the virtual queue in the My Disney Experience app, either at 7AM (from anywhere) or 1PM (from inside Magic Kingdom). If applicable, you will also need a Magic Kingdom Park Reservation to join!

Genie+ Lightning Lane
We also just let you know that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be available as a Lightning Lane through Disney’s Genie+!
It sounds like the ride will be a regular Genie+ Lightning Lane as opposed to an Individual Lightning Lane, but we will have to wait for confirmation from Disney.

In case you forgot, guests can purchase Genie+ at a daily rate for all 4 parks or an individual park, which grants you access to scheduling Lightning Lanes for eligible rides.
Individual Lightning Lanes, in contrast, are available as a separate fee for a few select rides.
PhotoPass
When you’re “almost there,” Disney PhotoPass will snap a photo of your journey down the New Orleans Bayou! Don’t forget to strike a pose.

You May Get Wet!
For some of you, it comes as no surprise that you may get wet on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! After all, that was one of the best parts of Splash Mountain.
Still, if you don’t want to get too wet, you may want to bring some rain gear.
