Opening Date and New Details Released for Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
I am excited to share all the new details about the all-new Island Tower coming to Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows!
We have just learned that the Island Tower is slated to open at the Polynesian in December 2024. In addition, we have new concept art to share and show you how you can be among the first to book your stay.

Upon arriving at the Island Tower, you will be greeted by festive designs that include a breathtaking Manta Ray. A Manta Ray was chosen to adorn the property’s exterior, symbolizing freedom, protection, and grace.
Once you step inside the lobby, you will see an art piece on the ceiling inspired by the beautiful Polynesian Islands. The installation features native wildlife to these Islands with each animal holding a strong connection to the Islands and their values.

To bring the Island Tower at the Polynesian to life, Imagineers worked alongside artists from around the globe to create sustainable artwork for the Resort. Several mediums were used including moss coverings on walls and recycled fishing nets to make sculptures while embodying the rich heritage of the Polynesian Islands.

How to Book Your Stay
Ready to book your stay in the all-new Island Tower at the Polynesian in Walt Disney World? Then, I have great news! Bookings will open in less than one month according to the following cadence:
- June 4: DVC Members not using points – DVC Members using points will be able to make reservations later on
- June 5: Walt Disney World Annual Passholders
- June 6: All Guests
