New Lightning Lane Touch Points and Digital Signs Debut at Ariel’s Undersea Adventure in Disneyland
When The Little Mermaid — Ariel’s Undersea Adventure was added to the list of Genie+ attractions at Disney’s California late last year, it was unclear if the change would be permanent.
After all, the change came just as the park was preparing for the busy holiday season, and while Ariel’s Undersea Adventure remains popular, it is not exactly an “E-ticket” attraction.
Well, five months later, it looks like we finally have our answer.
New Lightning Lane Touch Points Have Arrived
As part of the ongoing refurbishment of The Little Mermaid — Ariel’s Undersea Adventure queue, new Lightning Lane touch points have been installed!
These new touch points are light blue and blend in well with the rest of the attraction’s aesthetic.
More importantly, however, they have character!
Atop the touch point we used today, a smiling starfish greeted us! Here is a closer look at the new stand.
The second, nearby, touch point had decorative seaweed on it.
New Digital Wait Time Signs
Debuting with the new touch points are a pair of digital signs.
Featuring a watery background, these signs not only inform guests of the Lightning Lane time but also the wait in the standby queue.
All in all, the new Lightning Lane infrastructure looks great! Needless to say, it doesn’t look like The Little Mermaid- Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will be removed from the Lightning Land list anytime soon!
