Disney+ Series ‘Agatha: Darkhold Diaries’ Shortens Its Name to Simply ‘Agatha’
The upcoming WandaVision spinoff starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness has once again undergone a name change.
When first announced, the Agatha series was titled Agatha: House of Harkness. A month later, Marvel changed the name again, this time to Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
In September 2023, the series was once again renamed, this time to Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
The Show Will Now Be Titled ‘Agatha’
With filming on the series now complete and Marvel reportedly optimistic about the show’s success, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries once again is changing names. Now, the series will be called simply Agatha.
The new series will follow the adventures of Kathern Hahn’s Agatha Harkness as she “breaks out” of her WandaVision spell and must embark on a quest to get her powers back.
In addition to former Westview residents Sharon Davis (Debra Jo Rupp), Sarah Proctor (Emma Caufield Jones), and Harold Proctor (David Lengel) the series will introduce a new cast of characters including Aubrey Plaza as a witch named Rio Vidal.
When Will ‘Agatha’ Debut
Last month, Hahn hyped up the new series.
“I wish I could tell you anything. And I can tell you that it’s pretty fan– fabulous, I’m going to say that,” Hahn said. “I was going to say fantastic but then I decided to go with fabulous,” she said.
While we don’t have a release date for Agatha yet, the series is expected to debut on Disney+ later this year.
