Two Popular Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Experiences Now Require Pre-Paid Booking
A couple of fan-favorite Star Wars experiences have changed their booking policies at Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge.
Fans looking to build a custom droid at Droid Depot or create their own handbuild lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop will now have to pay in full when booking their experience. Previously, both experiences required a simple credit card guarantee when booking.

The booking policy at Droid Depot has changed. Guests must now pre-pay when booking.
According to Disney, there is a one-day cancellation policy associated with both Star Wars experiences. Guests who cancel at least one day in advance, however, will avoid a cancellation fee. Here is a look at the full policy at Savi’s Workshop:

If the cancellation does not occur prior to 24 hours, or guests are a “no-show,” they will still incur a per-person charge. That fee can be as much as $199.99 per adult at Droid Depot and $249.99 per adult at Savi Workshop.
The Experiences Themselves Remain Unchanged
Since opening in 2019, both the “Assemble and Astromech Unit” experience at Droid Depot, where guests move from station to station to build their own droid and the create-your-own lightsaber experience at Savi’s Workshop have been immensely popular.

Outside of the change in when guests pay, both experiences remain unchanged.
