‘Bluey’ Continues Its Record-Breaking Run on Streaming With “The Sign”
The latest episode of the international phenomenon Bluey, “The Sign,” smashed records on Disney+ with 10.4 million views globally in its first seven days of availability.
Disney determines viewership numbers by dividing the total number of minutes streamed by an episode’s runtime.
By far the most successful series in Disney’s streaming catalog, Bluey has dominated the streaming charts over the last year and a half. Overall, the children’s show was the second-most viewed series on all of streaming last year, trailing only Suits. So far this year, the series is in first place.
“The Sign” Takes Center Stage
“The Sign” debuted on April 14 on Disney+, Disney Junior, and Disney Channel and quickly became the talk of the internet.
Bluey was created and written by Joe Brumm and has become one of the most popular children’s series in recent memory.
βThe world that Joe Brumm so beautifully created has captivated audiences everywhere with its delightful blend of humor, heartfelt moments, and characters that everyone can relate to,β Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, said before “The Sign” premiered. βAnd with the massive reach of Disney+, Disney Junior, and Disney Channel, Bluey has truly become a global phenomenon.β
The 10.4 million viewers that “The Sign” brought in across the globe made the very special Bluey episode the most-watched Disney Junior episode premiere ever and, perhaps more impressively, the biggest Bluey premiere in Disney+ history.
Following the premiere of “The Sign,” another brand-new episode of Bluey titled “Surprise” debuted on Sunday, April 21. Viewership numbers on that episode are not yet available.
