Victoria & Albert’s Has Been Awarded a Prestigious MICHELIN Star!
Congratulations to Victoria & Albert’s for being awarded a MICHELIN Star and Maître d’Hôtel Israel Pérez for the 2024 Florida Service Award! This is the first time Victoria & Albert’s has been recognized with this honor.

If you aren’t familiar with the MICHELIN Star, it is awarded to restaurants with outstanding cooking, ingredients, flavors, chef techniques, and service.
This is the first time a Disney restaurant has been awarded this honor and it’s also the first U.S. theme park restaurant to be awarded a MICHELIN star.

Victoria & Albert’s has been located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for over 20 years now, serving a multi-course and luxurious dining experience.

Chef de Cuisine Matthew Sowers has led the culinary team at Victoria & Albert’s for almost 20 years, alongside Pastry Chef Ally Rogers.
“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized by MICHELIN for the innovative dining experience our team brings to life here at Victoria & Albert’s,” said Chef Matthew. “Everybody on our team earned this Star, from our stewards to our culinarians to our pastry chefs, and we hope to inspire future generations of culinary professionals to follow their dreams.”

Sommelier Israel Perez, who has received the 2024 Florida Service Award, has been creating memorable experiences at signature restaurants in Disney World for over 20 years.
“Just like a dance, there are many tiny steps that come naturally after years of dedication. Everything is done with purpose, and it is beautiful when the tempo is perfect,” said Israel.

Executive Chef Kevin Chong oversees culinary operations and Culinary Director Chef Scott Hunnel has been working at the helm of Victoria & Albert’s for many years now.

Victoria & Albert’s is the only Florida restaurant to hold both the AAA Five Diamond Award (consecutively since 2000) and the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award (consecutively since 2018).
Some of the other awards Victoria & Albert’s has received are the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence and the Florida Trend Golden Spoon Hall of Fame – American Regional.
