Space Race Has Reopened at Mission: SPACE For the First Time Since 2021
For the first time in three years, the Space Race game found in the Mission: SPACE Advance Training Lab is once again open to guests.
Located in the Mission: SPACE post-show area, the Space Race game allows two teams to compete against each other to see who can get their rocket from Mars back to Earth the fastest.
A Look at the Game
As you can see the blue team sits on one side of the aisle, while the red team sits on the other.
Each guest playing the game works at a computer station with several buttons in front of them.
The two teams then race to repair their rocket and get home first. It is a lot of fun, especially if enough players to really make things competitive.
In total, 60 guests can play Space Race at the same time. If you have some extra time and are looking for an entertaining option in the air conditioning, Space Race is for you!
Space Race Has Been Closed Since 2021
The last time we saw Space Race open was in 2021 before everything shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While almost every other component of Walt Disney World has reopened, Space Race has remained closed.
Although it is perhaps not the most popular little attraction it is good to see Mission: SPACE fully operating. It is the little exhibits like Space Race that have traditionally made EPCOT so special.
