The EPCOT FriendShips Return to Their Normal Route as the Morocco Dock Reopens
The last time we checked in with the FriendShip boats at EPCOT, the water taxis were transporting guests from the entrance to the World Showcase to the Germany pavilion.
Now, long-time FriendShip aficionados know that traditionally, the boats dock in Morocco. With that dock undergoing refurbishment, however, EPCOT rerouted the FriendShips to the oft-forgotten Germany pavilion dock.
Well, after a couple weeks of work, the Morocco pavilion has officially reopened today, and the world (showcase) is back to normal!
The FriendShips Return to Morocco
We popped into EPCOT this morning and saw the FriendShips returning to their normal routes.
Interestingly, the Morocco pavilion dock looks unchanged since the last time we saw it, though Dinsey has stated that it was refurbed.
Here is a look at the dock today. Everything looks nice enough. However, it also seems unchanged.
The Germany pavilion dock has now returned to its natural state — being closed.
Changes Have Been a Constant For the Boats
The last few months have been a time of change for the World Showcase FriendShip boats. Not only did we have the re-routing of the vessels, but we have also seen the boats themselves systematically refurbished.
Whether they are docking in Morocco or Germany, the FriendShips remain the best way to get around World Showcase!
Here is a look at the vessels docking at the entrance to World Showcase. Who would choose to start their World Showcase adventure in Mexico or Canada when they could hop on a boat?!
