Walt Disney World Wait Times for Easter Week 2024
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely holiday weekend and are maybe even off at the start of this week!
Whether you celebrate Easter or not, if you’re in the United States, you at least gained a long weekend.
Of course, many of you spent some of those days at Walt Disney World.
So, you already know what I’m about to say, at least in a general sense.
Here are the Walt Disney World wait times for Easter Week 2024. Spoiler: the parks were crowded!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Much of the intrigue at Animal Kingdom is happening behind the scenes as the park escalates its expansion plans.
Disney has filed paperwork that hints at an entire Imagineering mini-headquarters at this park.
Park officials wouldn’t do that unless something big was coming, and that’s a story we’ll track for several reasons.
Not the least of them is that if Disney does shutter DinoLand U.S.A., the number of attractions at Animal Kingdom will be…a short list.
So, we’ll closely monitor how that change impacts wait times and overall attendance at the park. But those are a later 2024 problem!
For now, here are the average attraction wait times at Animal Kingdom during Easter Week:
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 125 minutes, up 48
- Na’vi River Journey – 82 minutes, up 30
- Expedition Everest – 61 minutes, up 24
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 61 minutes, up 30
- Kali River Rapids – 59 minutes, up 37
- Adventurers Outpost – 56 minutes, up 15
- DINOSAUR – 39 minutes, up 21
- TriceraTop Spin – 17 minutes, up 7
- It’s Tough to Be a Bug! – 15 minutes, up
Overall, guests at Animal Kingdom waited for 57 minutes per attraction, which is outrageously long for this park.
That’s 23 minutes or 68 percent more than last time. Yikes!
We’ve tracked an average wait like this twice in March, as it’s a byproduct of Spring Break and Easter crowds.
Oddly, we had a slow week in between those two crazy-busy weeks, which is a bit abnormal.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
I usually calibrate my expectations for the week based on Animal Kingdom and then consider Hollywood Studios an island unto itself.
Still, Easter works differently since Walt Disney World always surges during holidays.
The behavior makes perfect sense, too. I mean, we all would rather be at Main Street, U.S.A. right now, don’t we?
Anyway, here are the average wait times at Hollywood Studios during Easter Week:
- Slinky Dog Dash – 137 minutes, up 47
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 134 minutes, up 65
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 116 minutes, up 54
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – 87 minutes, up 42
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway — 78 minutes, up 29
- Toy Story Mania! – 73 minutes, up 22
- Alien Swirling Saucers – 53 minutes, up 19
- Red Carpet Dreams – 45 minutes, up 9
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue! – 38 minutes, up 24
- Celebrity Spotlight – 27 minutes, up 13
- Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy – 19 minutes, up 4
- Muppet*Vision – 15 minutes, up 5
Overall, Hollywood Studios visitors waited in line for 59 minutes per attraction, 22 minutes or 59 percent more than last time.
EPCOT
EPCOT is currently undergoing its own series of changes.
We just tracked the first lighting of CommuniCore Hall & Plaza.
When that section opens, the reimagining of EPCOT will be complete. So, the park has almost finished a multi-year process.
Disney has done an exceptional job of managing attraction wait times throughout this process, but I’m glad we’re near the end.
Here are EPCOT’s average wait times for Easter Week:
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – 105 minutes, up 47
- Frozen Ever After – 102 minutes, up 44
- Test Track – 95 minutes, up 34
- Mission: SPACE – 79 minutes, up 36
- Soarin’ Around the World – 64 minutes, up 30
- Royal Sommerhus – 41 minutes, up 7
- Spaceship Earth – 32 minutes, up 19
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends – 23 minutes, up 12
- Journey into Imagination with Figment – 21 minutes, up 13
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros—16 minutes, up 7
- Living with the Land – 15 minutes, up 5
So, yes, EPCOT was extremely crowded last week, too.
Park guests waited for an average of 50 minutes per attraction, which is 19 minutes or 61 percent more than last time.

- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – 47 minutes, up 10
- Pirates of the Caribbean – 47 minutes, up 20

- Tomorrowland Speedway – 36 minutes, up 15
- Mad Tea Party – 31 minutes, up 15
- Walt Disney World Railroad – 25 minutes, up 9

Final Thoughts
Overall, guests at Magic Kingdom stood in line for an average of 42 minutes per attraction, 14 minutes or 50 percent more than last time.
So, the parks required a 59 percent longer wait during Easter Week than the previous frame. And yes, that’s a lot!
