Is This Carrot Tart Your Next Favorite Easter Treat at Walt Disney World?
Well, I don’t know about you, but all these egg-cellent new Easter treats have got us hopping all over Walt Disney World this springtime!
Yes, the mouth-watering menu of seasonal goodies across the resort is enough to put a spring in anyone’s step, and our MickeyBloggers have been having a lovely time hunting each one down to review. Right now, it’s carrots on the agenda — and we’re over at a fan-favorite Disney Deluxe resort to taste it out. Come along with us!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Everyone knows that Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is a foodie paradise at any time of the year, so it was no wonder the resort’s chefs were quick to “hop” on board with the seasonal offerings this Easter.

Carrot Tart
As we stepped into The Mara – the Lodge’s exciting quick-service restaurant — this afternoon, springtime signage alerted us to a brand-new seasonal treat: the Carrot Tart.
It sounded like such a fun snack to see us on our day — so of course MickeyBlog had to place an order!

Carrot Tart
The tart costs $6.49, and sounds full of fresh, familiar flavors. And here it is:
A Cute Carrot Tart

Carrot Tart
First of all, we’re so impressed to see that this treat looks exactly like it does on the menu in real life!
How cute?

Carrot Tart
This colorful treat consists of a cream-cheese citrus mousse, housed within a tasty white chocolate shell, designed to look like a carrot. There’s carrot cake in the tart and toasted coconut for extra flavor and texture on top.
It looks and sounds delicious…but what did our MickeyBlog reporters make of this treat?

Carrot Tart
Well, once we’d managed to find a way to cut into the treat (“normal” carrots make much less of a mess!) we were rather impressed with the variety of textures going on in the dessert.
The carrot cake tart element was perhaps our favorite, offering a filling amount of cake and a texture that complemented the mousse perfectly.

Carrot Tart
The fluffy mousse was also fun, with a fresh, citrussy taste that was pleasantly refreshing for these warmer months.

However, our MickeyBlog reporter did raise a good point here: isn’t carrot cake normally more of an autumnal treat?
There’s just something about those spicy flavors that make us think of thick scarves, hot cocoa, and falling leaves. Not quite the “hopping” springtime season we’re currently experiencing!

Carrot Tart
Either way, we will still conclude that this Carrot Tart was a delicious treat from The Mara here at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and certainly a snack we’d happily order again.
Be sure to check it out next time you’re passing through the savannah! But, in the meantime, stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com for even more delicious reviews from the springtime season at Walt Disney World!
