And who knew there’d be so many options to find here?
Of course, there are names to be made from the titles of the resorts themselves. We’ve included the more obvious ones in this list, but there’s nothing stopping you making your own up, especially if a particular hotel holds a special place in your heart.

Belle
Inspired by Belle Vue Lounge at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, or perhaps the princessy inspiration behind the Grand Floridian’s Enchanted Rose lounge.
Bob

After a Spanish pirate found in Floridian legend, also known as Gasparilla. You’ll no doubt know the name from the breezy Grill, located at the Grand Floridian.

Hurricane Hanna is the name of a poolside bar and grill at the Beach Club – a tempestuous name for a water-loving gal!
Hoop-Dee-Doo
No, we’re NOT suggesting you name your child Hoop-Dee-Doo, but we’d be wrong not to include some of the fantastic character names from the Fort Wilderness show. There’s Claire, Flora, and Dolly as sweet girl names, and Jim and Johnny for the boys.
Or, if you are set on the show title, you could just opt for Dee, which we think is quite cute!

A Swahili name for “gem,” inspired by the gift store at Animal Kingdom Villas, and all the “treasures” that lie within.
Kidane
Kidani – the name of the Village villas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom resort – can be related to the popular male name Kidane, found in parts of eastern Africa.
Kona
A rare baby name, often associated with Hawaiian coffee. It’s also recognizable as the trendy café name inside the Polynesian!
Lanai
This gorgeous Hawaiian name means “veranda, porch,” and reminds us of the pineapple-perfect place to get Dole Whips at the Polynesian.
Magnolia
This one is for the golfers! A beautiful and symbolic flower name, used for the longest course at Walt Disney World.
Maji

A fabulous, under-the-sea name, inspired by that awesome Caribbean crab with a bistro at Caribbean Beach.
Sky
It has to be said, this dreamy name would sound especially magical if your surname happened to be Liner.
Star
Will Star grow up to be sporty? Musical? An avid cinephile? A stellar name for an “All-Star” baby.
Swan or Dolphin
