BREAKING: Disney Cruise Line Announces a NEW Ship With a Heroes & Villains Theme
It’s an exciting week for Disney Cruise Line fans! Not only are bookings for Summer 2025 open for booking, but we also know what Disney’s Cruise Line’s newest ship will be named and its theme!
Disney’s Cruise Line’s newest ship will be the Disney Destiny and the sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure.

What’s even cooler about this new ship is that it will have a “Heroes and Villains” theme!
That’s right! While onboard Disney’s Cruise Line’s latest ship, the Disney Destiny, you will encounter popular heroes and villains from iconic Disney movies, including “The Lion King,” Hercules,” and “One Hundred and One Dalmatians.”

The Disney Destiny will also boast new filigree work on the bow of the ship featuring everyone’s favorite Minnie Mouse on the bow of the ship. But this isn’t just any Minnie Mouse! This Minnie is rocking showing off her hero vibes donned with a cape and all. She’s ready to lead the way and take Guests on magical cruise vacations!

Today is also an important day in bringing the all-new Disney Destiny to life. The keel-laying ceremony was just held at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. This traditional ceremony in shipbuilding is said to bestow good luck upon the vessel.

The Disney Destiny will take its maiden voyage in 2025. But, if you don’t want to wait that long, book a cruise on one of its sister ships, including the Disney Wish, which is now sailing on 3- and 4-night voyages from Port Canaveral, Florida, or the Disney Treasure that will set sail on it,’s maiden voyage in December of this year.
There’s also the upcoming Disney Adventure that will soon set sail with a homeport in Singapore!
