Marvel Fans Get a Welcome Update on ‘Ironheart’
Reports of Ironheart‘s demise may have been overstated.
After Disney CEO Bob Iger publicly admitted that the studio had “quietly” canceled some previously announced content that it didn’t believe was working, the title that was most speculated to have been canceled was Ironheart.

The Disney+ series is set to follow the story of Riri Williams, the genius inventor who made her first appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
News on ‘Ironheart’ Has Been Scarce
While the series was originally scheduled to debut in late 2023, that obviously did not happen. Following the SAG-AFTRA strikes, Ironheart was removed from Disney’s release schedule, leaving many to wonder if the show was still in development.
Earlier this year, however, Ironheart star Dominque Thorne told Deadline that the filming of the series had wrapped up.

“Filming has concluded, indeed,” Thorne told Deadline at the Sundance Film Festival in January, “I mean, I can say strap in, get ready. It will be a ride, much like they all are. It is an epic journey, and one that I’m very excited to share.”
The Series Has Been Added to the Disney+ Website
While updates on Ironheart have been few and far between, fans looking forward to the series finally got some good news.
As pointed out by an astute Reddit poster, a screenshot on the Disney+ webpage now lists Ironheart alongside its fellow Marvel Studios productions Agatha, Daredevil: Born Again, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

According to the show’s official synopsis, “‘Ironheart’ stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a genius inventor who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man.”
When Will ‘Ironheart’ Premiere?
While we still don’t have a release date for Ironheart yet, at least the project has not been canceled. Based on a US Copyright Office listing, the series could premiere in September 2025.

I guess we will have to wait and see.
