Where Does Orlando International Airport Rank on the ‘Worst Airports for Spring Break’ List?
Listen up, Spring Break travelers. Are you visiting Orlando or Walt Disney World in the next few weeks?
More than 7 million travelers are expected to pass through Orlando International Airport this season, and MCO is already taking steps to manage the crowds.
But with this amount of travelers flying over March and April, delays, cancellations and more are inevitable.
A new report based on info from the U.S. Bureau of Transportation highlights airports around the U.S. that are notorious for challenges and other bad service for the next few weeks.
Airport Rankings
Many airports are getting ready and anticipating an influx of travelers- not surprisingly, many of the worst locations are popular spring break destinations.

First on the “worst list” is Fort-Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport with a 39.5% delay rate and a 4.6 flight cancellation rate over Spring Break.
Popular Florida destination, Miami International Airport ranks the sixth worst airport on the list, with approximately 30% of flights being delayed, and Las Vegas Harris Reid International ranks the second worst.
What about those Disney fans flying in? The Orlando International Airport is home to the Happiest Place on Earth, but it is ranked the third worst Spring Break airport, with 1/3 of flights being delayed and 436 canceled.
