Orlando International Airport Anticipates 7 Million+ Travelers This Spring Break
Are you traveling to Orlando or Walt Disney World in the next few weeks?
Saturday, February 24th, was the official start of MCO’s Spring Break travel period, and the airport is getting ready to manage the record number of travelers that will be passing through.
Spring Break travel includes a 44-day period that runs from February 24th to April 7th. MCO anticipates approximately 7.6 million passengers will be traveling through the airport during this time.
Are you one of these Spring Break passengers coming to MCO? Orlando International Airport is reportedly the busiest airport in Florida, with 58 million people passing through last year.
Its travel record is December 30th, 2023 with 98,521 travelrs, and the airport saw an increase in 15% of overall traffic from the previous year.

3-2-1 Rule
Airport officials are encouraging everyone to pack their patience and utilize the 3-2-1 rule for a smoother airport experience.
Travelers should arrive at their ticket counter at least hours before departure, head to security two hours before departure, and be in the gate area one hour before your boarding time.
Following this rule will help ease some of the travel challenges during this high volume period.
