Disney World Has a NEW Cupcake Made For Matcha Fans
We’ve got a NEW treat straight from Disney’s Animal Kingdom…and Expedition Everest fans will definitely want to check it out.
It’s March 1st, which means we’re in the parks trying out a bunch of new Women’s History Month eats, and we were surprised to see a new cupcake available in Animal Kingdom. Let’s dig in!
Everest Cupcake
While browsing Mobile Ordering in the My Disney Experience app, we noticed that the Everest Cupcake was a new option at Restaurantosaurus and Pizzafari.
It sounds good, right?? We stopped by Restaurantosaurus to give it a try.
It’s made with matcha cake, milk chocolate mousse filling, chocolate buttercream, crispy pearls, and a white chocolate Yeti image for $6.29.
This cupcake was clearly inspired by Expedition Everest, even featuring the “broken” roller coaster tracks in the form of chocolate.
We loved the use of the matcha as the mountain grass, and the Yeti chocolate image was adorably terrifying!
The cake was light and delicious and the matcha flavor shined through. Note that you really have to like the flavor of matcha to enjoy this cupcake!
As pretty as it was, however, this cupcake was REALLY messy, and the cake crumbled quite a bit once we removed the wrapper. But check out all that frosting!
Just make sure you grab some napkins.
Basically, fans of matcha — get this cupcake. But to all matcha haters out there — steer clear.
