REVIEW: Come Dine With Us at Enchanted Garden Aboard the Disney Fantasy
We’re sailing in style on the Disney Fantasy! Care to join us?
We’ve taken you around our stateroom and even brought you the latest dress code update for brunch at Palo. But now, it’s time for us to dig into something different over at Enchanted Garden! (Hope you brought your appetite.)
Enchanted Garden
It’s dinner time aboard the Disney Fantasy and we’re heading over to Enchanted Garden to grab a bite (or several).
The restaurant is filled with gorgeous, elegant designs…
…beautiful displays inspired by the foothills of France…
…and even has a 7-foot tall fountain featuring a cherub Mickey. (How adorable?)
Now, after taking in all of the decor, it’s time for us to dine!
Appetizers
Make sure you’re hungry before your dinner because there are so many amazing options to choose from! During our dinner, the appetizers included a Cucumber Garden Roll, Ahi Tuna and Avocado Tower, North Atlantic Lobster Ravioli, and Applewood Smoked Bacon Wild Mushroom Tart.
We went with the Ahi Tuna and Avocado Tower, which comes with crispy noodles and wasabi dressing. This was an amazing starter, providing a decent portion size of fresh tastes–which the avocado definitely contributed to. There was no fishiness, and the wasabi added a nice kick. Our only wish is that there would have been more noodles or crunchiness to add more balance to the textures.
Soups and Salads
For our course of soups and salads, they offered an Heirloom Tomato Soup, Cream of Green Asparagus Soup, Spinach and Raspberry Salad, or Romaine Wedge.
We ordered the Spinach and Raspberry Salad (gluten-free), which is baby spinach tossed with fresh raspberries, toasted pine nuts, crumbled gorgonzola, and a raspberry vinaigrette. This does the job, but it’s honestly a basic salad. We were hoping for more toppings, and the dressing was hard to taste. Overall, it’s a decent option, but it could be improved upon.
We also wanted to note that we got bread service–Multigrain and Country Currant Rolls with Chickpea-Garlic Puree.
Main Course and Dessert
For our main course, they offered Carmelized Sea Scallops, Pan Seared Sea Bass, Majoram Scented Roast Chicken, Seared Pork Tenderloin Medallions, or Slow Roasted Prime Rib.
We chose the Pan Seared Sea Bass with fava bean and pea risotto, sliced fennel, and a dill-chive riesling wine sauce. We highly recommend this dish! It’s a good portion of bass and comes with a flaky crust. Like the tuna, there wasn’t any fishiness, and the bass was buttery (thanks to the sauce). The risotto was also well-seasoned, but was pretty standard.
For dessert, we could get the Warm Sticky Date Pudding, Chocolate Garden Torte, Orange Yogurt Cake, or Chocolate Brownie Sundae. We ordered the Chocolate Garden Torte with coffee creme and caramel soil.
Overall
This intimate atmosphere, inspired by the gardens of Versailles, makes for an elegant dining experience. We loved the aesthetic and the service was amazing (which is expected aboard the Disney Cruise Line). Overall, this is a must-see restaurant during your cruise!
