‘Goosebumps’ Has Been Renewed For Season 2 on Disney+
After years of struggling to find success on streaming with non-Marvel or Star Wars series, Disney+ finally seems to have found its footing.
Following this week’s announcement that Percy Jackson and the Olympians have been renewed for a second season, Disney announced today that Goosebumps will also be returning.

The announcement was made during today’s Disney Branded Television presentation at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
The Series Will Take the Anthology Route
During their presentation, Disney announced that Goosebumps Season 2 will be comprised of eight episodes, and the show will be an anthology series.
This means that Season 2 will feature a new cast and setting. However, it will still take inspiration from R.L. Stine’s Scholastic books series.
“Audiences everywhere fell in love with the series’ chills, thrills, heart and humor, making it one of Disney Branded Television’s most-watched shows of last year,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television. “We can’t wait to dive deeper into the brilliant mind of R.L. Stine, and to collaborate once again with Sony Pictures Television, Scholastic Entertainment, and our fantastic creative team to bring an entirely new mystery to Disney+ for season two.”
Goosebumps Season 1 Was a Sucess
Season 1 of Goosebumps was a major success for Disney+. According to Disney, the series premiere drew 4.2 million views across Disney+ and Hulu during its first three days of availability. Season 1 of the series starred Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Justin Long, Zack Morris, Isa Briones, and Rachael Harris.

Season 2 Synopsis
While we do not have a release window yet for Goosebumps Season 2, Disney has released a synopsis of what fans can expect:
“Teenage siblings discover a threat within their home, setting off a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, the duo find themselves entangled in the story of five teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994,” the synopsis reads.
