Construction Update: Scaffolding Removed in EPCOT’s United Kingdom Pavilion
Your next stroll through EPCOT’s United Kingdom pavilion might be just a little bit brighter!
Over the past several weeks, the back side of the pavilion has been largely obscured by scaffolding on several of the area’s brick buildings. This weekend, the scaffolding came down, revealing a fresh new look!
Let’s check it out!
A Proper Refresh
Disney is always working hard to keep their resorts and theme parks in tip-top shape. Of course, the United Kingdom pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase is no exception.
When scaffolding appeared along the back of the pavilion, MickeyBlog reporters spotted ‘Wet Paint’ signs, indicating a touch-up to the facade.
Now that the scaffolding is down, our suspicions have been confirmed! The charming pavilion has received some tender loving care, resulting in a proper good refresh.
While scrim was still in place this weekend and construction crews were still hard at work, the pavilion’s bright new look was on full display for EPCOT guests.
The Back Side of EPCOT’s United Kingdom Pavilion
The pavilion is well known for its beautiful Tudor, Georgian, and Victorian-style architecture.
But If you’ve never stopped to smell the roses in the beautiful United Kingdom pavilion, you might have missed the gorgeous gardens on the other side of the facade.
If you stroll around to the back side of the pavilion, you’ll find a quiet reprieve from the EPCOT crowds. The gorgeous English garden boasts topiaries, Tigger’s Maze, and a delightful gazebo.
If you time your visit right, you may even run into Mary Poppins herself!
Next time you find yourself in the United Kingdom pavilion, don’t forget to stroll around to the back! You’ll enjoy peace, quiet, and a beautifully refreshed English setting.
