Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter Resort is practically an all-year celebration of Mardi Gras, but it’s especially festive at this time of the year — and now we have NEW beignets to try!

New to Scat Cat’s Club Cafe are the Bananas Foster Beignets, a trio of honey-glazed Mickey-shaped beignets with house-made bananas foster sauce for $7.99.

According to a Cast Member, these beignets are new and only available through the end of February, although we don’t have an official end date.

They come covered in Mardi Gras colors — green, purple, and gold, and we found the beignets themselves to be delicious. The only issue came with the sauce.

We would have preferred the sauce on the side, or even not at all. It just wasn’t our jam.

With the combo of the honey glaze and the bananas foster sauce, it was just too much sweetness for us, and as a result, it was difficult to eat. Of course, if you like super sweet treats, this might be perfect for you!
Pro tip — don’t tip the bowl too much or you’ll drip hot bananas foster sauce all over yourself.

We loved the beignets though, and if we ordered these again we’d definitely ask for the sauce on the side.
