Well, if you are one of the millions of fans who have enjoyed the Haunted Mansion over the last half-century, I have great news. A “ghostly retreat” is taking place on February 25 in Fullerton, California, and you won’t want to miss this.

Haunted Mansion fans who attend Welcome Foolish Mortals: A Haunted Mansion Reunion at the Ghostly Retreat are in for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Taking place in the detailed immersive Ghostly Retreat (an Airbnb with intricate Haunted Mansion theming), the event will allow guests to dress in ghoulish garb and interact with some of the talented people who created the Haunted Mansion and its related media over the last 55 years!

Not only will fans get to snap as many pictures as they like in the Ghost Retreat, which is typically only available for overnight stays, but they will also receive an original artwork print created for the event by Disney illustrator Rick Law.
Special Guests
Finally, there will be an opportunity to meet special guests and get autographs. Those attending the eerie event include:
Tania Norris: A former Interior Designer at WED Enterprises who designed several areas inside the Haunted Mansion, including the iconic attic scene. It was Norris who also came up with the attraction’s now-famous purple wallpaper.

Joe Lanzisero: A three-decade veteran of The Walt Disney Company, Joe Lanzisero began his career in Feature Animation, where he learned directly from Disney’s “Nine Old Men.” After Animation, Lanzisero moved to Walt Disney Imagineering, eventually rising to the role of Senior Vice President of Creative.
In this job, he was tasked with helping create Tokyo Disney Resort and Hong Kong Disney Resort. Among Lanzisero’s most iconic creations was the Mystic Manor at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Garnet Holt: President and founder of Garner Holt Productions, Garner Holt was inspired by the magic of Disney’s Haunted Mansion after seeing the Magical World of Disney.
Holt would later be so inspired by the Haunted Mansion that he would find an animatronic company. Eventually, Holt Productions would create animatronics and props for the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay.

Kirk Thatcher: An Emmy award-winning writer, producer, director, actor, and songwriter, Thatcher recently appeared in Marvel’s Werewolf by Night. Thatcher also directed, co-wrote, and designed characters for Muppets Haunted Mansion.
Rick Law: The famed illustrator and producer has worked for The Walt Disney Company for three decades. He will be creating a unique piece of Haunted Mansion artwork for the event.
