Surfer Goofy Returns in Full Color Amid Annual Pop Century Refresh
Any frequent Disney-goer knows just how much work goes into the everyday maintenance of Disney’s theme parks and resorts.
And with its iconic giant yo-yos, larger-than-life theming, and of course, that adorable Surfer Goofy statue, Disney’s Pop Century Resort deserves its fair share of attention every now and again.
This week, our team stopped by for a closer look at the resort’s annual refresh.
Let’s check it out!
Surfer Goofy Returns in Full Color
Surf’s up!
Surfer Goofy is back in all his glory after a recent, much-needed paint job.
Wearing his trademark green cap, Goofy is beach-ready in his playful, palm tree-printed swimsuit. Topping off the look with a red and white striped tank and a blue turtleneck, Goofy holds a bright yellow surfboard with an orange stripe.
The vivid colors have Goofy looking cheerful, vibrant, and refreshed!
Resort Refresh
Meanwhile, hard-working crews are also busy repainting other areas of the resort.
The giant blue yo-yo outside of Building 4 is freshly painted and looking good!
Building 4’s green yo-yo also benefits from the recent refresh.
However, the yo-yos at Building 5 still show some wear and tear as they await their own refurbishment.
That Florida weather sure takes its toll!
Delightful Dancers
Finally, the larger-than-life dancers that adorn Building 5 have also been repainted.
Meanwhile, Building 4’s dancers are currently being stripped and repainted.
The result is an updated look that keeps Disney’s Pop Century Resort feeling fresh, clean, and otherwise magical!
